Percentage change can't be calculated from an original value of zero (it would be dividing by zero).
Enter an original value and a new value to see the percentage change between them — whether that's an increase or a decrease — along with the amount of change.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate percentage increase?
Subtract the original value from the new value, divide by the original value, then multiply by 100. For example, from 120 to 150 is (150 − 120) ÷ 120 × 100 = 25% increase.
What's the difference between percentage change and percentage points?
Percentage change is relative to the starting value. Percentage points are the plain difference between two percentages — going from 10% to 15% is a 5 percentage-point rise, but a 50% increase.
