Frequently asked questions
How do I convert minutes to decimal hours?
Divide the number of minutes by 60. For example, 30 minutes is 0.5 hours and 45 minutes is 0.75 hours. This calculator shows both formats.
Does it handle overnight shifts?
Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator assumes the end is on the next day — so 22:00 to 06:00 is counted as 8 hours.
